Just talked with the doctor again and all is well. He said, "I can't believe your mouth has healed almost completely in just two days!"
*breathes on fingers and rubs on lapel* "Well, I.. ah... gee, you know... I am a good healer."
So, now we are being treated to lunch by two wonderfully generous ladies and then helped onto the local bus to take us to the Shenzhen airport.
We will fly to Xi'an tonight where we will stay with more friends and have a day to relax and explore before heading on to the rest of our travels: hiking the Tiger Leaping Gorge, riding the boat down the Mekong River to Thailand, and finally arriving in sunny and lush Chiang Mai.
We are thankful for those following our updates closely... check out the picture of us in Victoria Harbour with Hong Kong Island behind us - what a beautiful place!
