Pictures from October Holiday Trip to Dunhuang

Finally some picture from our October Holiday trip to Dunhuang.

Mogao Caves one of China's most well known tourist attractions after the Great Wall of course and the Olympic venues and probably the Forbidden City, and the temple of Heaven, and the Summer Palace. Yeah there are a few things before it but it is right up there.

The Caves built right into the cliff.

Milk Shakes (I only had five) at a coffee shop owned by some like minded foreigners doing some good work in China.

Cool orange boots keeping the sand out of shoes everywhere.

The Dunhuang dunes.

What a View!!

Nice Hat. (We just bought it. My wife has such fair skin)

Going Up.

Finally at the TOP!

We have made it.

Snow who needs snow when you got sand.

Camel rides no we did not ride them but next time.

No camels but we did four wheel.

Some up and down the river guess who won.

A little Wii at our new foreign friends house. I rock at bowling!

Some cool landforms. According to China this whole area used to be under water can you say 40 days and 40 nights.

What is really funny is that you can't see all the Chinese people staring at us from behind the camera.

really really really really old fort at the end of the great wall.

Another Fort this one not so old and really really well done. Actually this was really cool we only spent 1 hour here because we didn't have time but it would have been cool to stay longer.

Keeping the Mongols out!!
